Tantra or Yoga

Many people imagine many things under the term Tantra, but not what Tantra really is. Even Yoga itself is much deeper in its essence. If we go back to the very roots of these words, we will find that they will lead us much further, much deeper. But in principle, both achieve the same results, even though they are contradictory. Yoga is more about suppressing consciousness, it is the path of the warrior. It is about activity, technique, method. Action leads to being, but by a different principle than Tantra. On the path of Tantra, we surrender to everything with full awareness, there is no need to struggle at all. On the contrary.

In order to transcend yourself in yoga, you often have to wrestle with yourself. You must suppress what you are now. You have to wrestle with it and remove it to reach what you can be. You must "die" for your true being to be born. Tantra views yoga as suicide. Why? Because you have to kill your natural self, your desires, your flesh, your instincts. Tantra, on the other hand, guides you to yourself. To who you really are. No need to die, no need to transcend yourself. But just be yourself. Let's look at it from the angle of sexuality.

Why does the human mind revolve around sexuality? Because the basic cells of the human body are sexual, and in yoga you have to fight this energy. Once this begins to happen, you go to another center of your self. The more you focus attention on concentration, sexuality is no longer your center. Energy then arises directly from this struggle, which transforms you into a new center of your own being.

When working with tantric energy, you must use this sexual energy. You don't fight it, you just transform it. It's your own energy, so why fight it? It's not bad or bad. Each of our energies is a natural part of our bodies. And just as fire is a good servant but a bad master, so it works with sexual energy misused, misunderstood. The result on ourselves will then be manifested when sexual energy is inappropriately ventilated or, on the contrary, stifled. Either she will be your friend and helper, or she will destroy you and waste many years of your life thanks to her. Yoga will encourage you to work with your mind and your desires, asking you to stop desiring and build a new center within yourself that will free you from all desires. Tantra, on the other hand, leads to realizing your desire with full awareness, because when you receive it, you essentially step into it and transcend it. You are inside and yet outside. This process is not as appealing as yoga, which understands and works with the ordinary mind. Tantra goes deeper, and that's where the fear of one's own mind very often appears. If humanity were more advanced, if we took sexuality as a natural and normal process, then even the process of tantric teaching would be much more pleasant. For now, yoga rules in all its forms, often distorted, often dysfunctional, but it is yoga after all.

Personally, after many years of practice, I lean towards tantric methods of working with myself, my body on all levels. The process of discovering breath work in self-acceptance is completely different than guided yoga breath. You have to try this and want to move somewhere. And whether it is yoga or tantra, you will always feel the result of the work on yourself if it comes from yourself. At first you feel that nothing is happening, that you don't even know where your true center is. What it actually means and how to work with it further.

When I first used the slogan "Be strong in your core, you will be strong in life" in 2019, I only had in mind exercise techniques focused on the pelvic floor. Over time and training myself, I naturally shifted my perception to the level that this slogan has much more depth than I originally thought.
